The "Secret" Sleep Consultants Don’t Want You to Know

I’m going to let you in on a little secret that the sleep consulting industry rarely discusses.

We don't have any secret tricks. 

There are no magic bullets, and I am not keeping a hidden method under lock and key that I only bestow upon those who hire me. If that were the case, it would be the best-kept secret in history! The truth is, there is only so much sleep science out there. There are a ton of books—some helpful, some not—and you could certainly read them all yourself.

But let’s be honest: you’re far too exhausted to spend your nights studying pediatric circadian rhythms.

Why Hire a Consultant if the Info is Free?

Parents often ask me, "If I can just read the books, why do I need you?" You absolutely can do it yourself. However, the missing piece in every book is you and your unique baby.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution. One method might work wonders for your neighbor but fail miserably for your family’s lifestyle. That is where the years of training and real-world experience come in. I have seen almost every scenario imaginable and can tailor a plan that suits your parenting style and your family’s specific needs.

Your Personal Sleep Cheerleader

Even more importantly, I am your biggest cheerleader. Anyone can research how to help a baby sleep, but implementing that plan and sticking with it when you are at your breaking point is a different story.

No Judgment, Just Rest

I used to have a lot of judgment about sleep consultants. During the years I suffered through sleep issues with my own children, I was desperate for help but also felt vulnerable. I thought hiring help was a luxury or a sign that I hadn't tried hard enough. I felt like it was all supposed to come naturally and that I should KNOW what to do. 

If only I knew then what I know now! Hiring a consultant is the best investment you can make for your family’s health and just as importantly, your physical and mental health. There is nothing more valuable than a healthy, happy, rested child and parents who are no longer living in survival mode.
